What are the experts opinions?

I'm no "expert" Rich, but some of this things attributes are troubling. First, it looks like it was made of sacking, not factory made. Second, the "WaA26" inspection is fake IMHO. These things are heavily faked and have been for some time, primarily out of Eastern Europe. Could it be a late wartime manufacture with a fake stamp? Perhaps. Do the odds favor that? Nope, not by a longshot. This isn't a hard item to fabricate.

I have to agree, but this type is the earliest of the pouches made, and the material is the late type. I can't say if this is real or fake, but for some reason the thing just looks artificially aged? That leather looks odd.

I would not buy that pouch for reenacting use. Bad all the way around.
The WaA 26 is a Mauser Borgiswald proof marke and they did not make this type item.

I actually think the Waffenamt is 20-something and not 26- looks like a 3 digit number. Still, I wouldn't buy it as original myself, but unlike Sarge I would use it for reenacting as they did use this type most often prior to summer of 1944.
