MG15 with wooden action cover opinions?

Hello,

I am looking to get some info on the MG15 with wooden action cover.

Thanks for the pic and the link, very helpful! Also do you know anyone I could contact who is an 'authority' figure on the MG15 to get further info?

ZF, I don't personally.

However, I think there are a few forum members here who own MG15's and maybe they can comment to your post questions or refer you to someone else.

Hopefuly, we have a "Maschinengewehr" authority in this community?

Mg15

These have been for sale as on MG15 parts kits here in the USA for some time, I think they are post war YUGO wood receiver covers. JH

Right so possibly post war? I notice on IMA's site right now they have one with a wooden cover. Could these wood covers not just be made for early MG15's?? Anyone got an MG15 with wood cover on here that would care to help out would be great! Thanks for the help again guys
