Radom VIS acquisition, need some restoration advice....

Picked this up a month or so ago, needs grips, magazine, firing pin, and one grip screw. So, probably going to go w/ repro grips for now, wasn't quite sure about the quality of the aftermarket repro mags, I have heard that they are mainly junk. But didn't want to pay the price that ebay commands either. Will also need a firing pin. Does this need a thin or thick grip screw? Thanks for any advice, Chris....

I would just put a pair of repro grips on it if originals aren't in the budget. Dissassemble & clean it.. don't do anything to the finish..Ive had nothing but problems with repro mags ..the feed lips always seem too soft. If the grip screws are one piece with no escuteons (2 piece) they are the larger type..

Radom parts can also be found on ebay. Watch there and on Gunbroker and over time I'm sure you can collect what you need. Generally, original parts will not be cheap. A good original mag will run you at least $150.
