View Full Version : Unusual Bringback Pistol

Don't know much about these except what I've read on the net. I'ts a CZ38 Bulgarian contract.
Most of these I've seen are double action only with no safety lever, this one is DA and SA with a safety lever, 9mm Kurz.

Looks like the rig sat in a drawer and got wet, rotted the holster and rusted the safety. Anyone know how to disassemble the safety?

Holster with vet's name, pistol ser. number and what I guess is date of capture?

You don't see many of these pistols. I have never seen one for sale at a show. Interesting gun.

There's a bunch of them on Gunbroker at the moment, including a Bulgarian. Search CZ 38.

This isn't a pistol I would seek out but I got it in a package deal with a mint cyq P38.
Neither I or the dealer I got this from knew anything about it. It was later searching the net I learned about the Bulgarian variation.

Hi guys,
This is very rare pistol. It is Model CZ 37 for Bulgarian police.:thumbsup:
Were made only 3200 pcs.
SN started 240000 in October 1939. Only 800 pcs was made in this month.This pistol is 240977that shows this pistol was made in November 1939.
