Hello. I have a great love of history and recently (last 8 months) became a collector. I interest is generally in WWII era rifles. My collection is relatively small (10 and counting). One of the rifles in my collection is a 1940 98K. I find the 98k to be exceptional. I hope to add more in the future. I did quite a bit of general research prior to acquiring my first, but what I learned while researching (including lurking this forum) was that experience is really the only way to get on decent footing in acquiring this type of rifle. I understand the basics about my rifle, but joined this forum to learn more about it from folks who know more.
