Well I did get a nice VZ24, when I picked up my new ax41 RC the dealer had two VZ24's and I picked out the nicer of the two.

Probably a refurb at some point as the hand guard has more wear than the lower stock and bolt is probably a mis-match or an arsenal replacement.

The bore is good-excellent, the blueing is very nice and several of the parts including the stock and bayonet have the cirlc z markings.

I believe this rifle was produced in 1937.

If anyone has anymore input that would be great.

Your rifle was accepted into CS army in 1937, the buttstock was slovak proofed, so its with high possibility a war period production that finally went to Romania, the serial on buttstock was realised by refurbishing, So its a missmatch romanian piece that was reserialed. best regards,Andy
PS the bayonet is too rework by Romanians
