here's my 'in work' resto of a bubba'd kar98a. its ok. and actually shoots better now i got all the parts on. nothing to brag about. just my example of a kar. got it CHEEP. Good ole bubba.
smooth as glass. sweet trigger. real light tho. i used Yugo sniper, i suppose i could get better groups with my handloads. i was off aiming low as its really high at 100. unlike the k98 its front sight isn't conducive to a after market tall sight. hell,,, its fun to shoot.... should be done this year sometime....
any help on the funky 'franktur' marking on the r/h rec? whats the 'rg over P?
thanks and enjoy

The character is actually a crown/RC and it stands for inspection control (in English of course) and it simply means the acceptance under it was passed after further inspection.

The first position is the hardness acceptance, hardness of the receiver, so initially some flaw was found but it was subsequently passed.

Very typical on war time rifles especially.
