Interesting, this booklet deals with proper handling of bolt action and semi-autos exposed to snow, cold and snow melt conditions.
In extreme cold, recommendations are to thin the gun oil with petroleum although it would reduce the anti-corrosive properties of the gun oil.
Semi-autos with frozen gas systems are to be fired and hand cycled until they resume normal operation, then to be dried when still warm.
