Just received a PP holster from a friend in the USA. HE thought it was unmarked and also had post-war additions.
I received it today along with a Luftwaffe helmet. A quick look over on the holster showed a Geco stamp under the strap flap, and looking at the additions on the back - which are as patinated and old as the holster - reminds me of Luftwaffe flying rig. There is illegible pencil on the upper flap, and what looks like the remnants of an ink stamp and maybe even a decal or something like a label that was varnished/shellaced over.
Any thoughts? I assume the Geco holster is LIKELY WW2 era (unless Genschow still made PP holsters post-war???) I like it regardless - seems appropriate for my 44 commercial PP
