Batch number on the back rim.
SD – someone put lacquer over the decal, so I don’t know if it is a Heer decal or a Kriegsmarine decal? I know when the decals get lacquered you sometimes get a yellowing of the decal.
Named near the batch number
Interesting dome stamp
Complete minus some missing leather from the dry liner.
Has a nice aluminum oxide paint.
My question to more knowledgeable helmet collectors is:
Is this a Heer or Kriegsmarine helmet?
Was the decal lacquered during or post war?
Was the outside of the helmet field re-painted?
Can anyone make out or recognize the dome stamp? Or translate what one can still read?
The dome stamp is different than most I have seen and is a little smudged on the corners which doesn’t really help.
Any input is much appreciated!
