A PTR 44 I have in to work on has a problem I've never seen before. The locking block has severe wear/damage. It looks like it'd be soft but is not. It'll take some doing to figure out why this has happened. Looks to be getting close to firing out of battery.
Guys with PTR's might want to take a look at their rifles in that area.
I'll try posting pictures of the damaged block alongside one from a MP44.
