An interesting trend is starting to appear within a certain serial range of cad (Kahles) scopes.

Out of interest, please select the reticle that your cad scope has.

Please note, this is applicable to CAD scopes ONLY - no other scopes please

Please also state in a posting what the serial number is of the scope, and which reticle you selected.

Mine has a fine crosshair, and is serial 46551.

Thank you

Interesting trend indeed.

Robert Spielauer seems to think there was a shortage on No1 reticles late 1944 through 1945, which would make sense.

Thanks Bud.

I got an email telling me of 46929, which has a No1 reticle. Here: http://www.k98k.info/index.php?p=showtopic&toid=627&fid=38&page=1&t=wer-weiss-was-das-fuer-ein-zf-ist-bin-fuer-jeden-hinweis-dankbar

So, it seems these late examples obviously used whatever was to hand - get them out post-haste - as fastidious as the Germans and Austrians are, desperate times...
