1917 Danzig

New to the forum.
Just left the pawn shop where I put a mauser on layaway. Not enough cash and did not
wont to let it slip away. Here are the details.

1917 Danzig 4 digit # on barell, rec, bolt and trigger gaurd all match.
2 digit # on floorplate also matches.
Stock has been sporterized. Barrel does not appear to have been cut down.
Asking price was 125$ plus tax. I will post pics as soon as I pick it
up and get it home.

Pretty hard to go wrong at that price...

Look forward to the pics! Not a scarce mfg/date but there is something about Danzig that is intriguing? Possibly because it is the least well understood arsenal.

Thank's for the reply. I called the stock sporterized but actually i
think it may just be a duffle cut without the front end included.
There is a guy local here that is good at repairing and restoring old
stocks. The origianal style ww1 rear sight is still in place.

If it is a duffle cut, it will be possible to replace it reasonably easily. If you need a forearm to replace the missing original, let us know, someone will be able to supply you with one along with the bands, band springs and bayonet lug.
