Persian 98/22 .22 training rifles

Hi, I have a Persian 29" 98/22 built by Walther as a .22 training rifle. Does anyone know how many were made?

HEY 308NUT. I really dont know. I know this was disscussed on gunboards and this imformation was brought up there. Raul being the prime person and the trainer guru. I also think these were converted by Walther not fully built by them..

Hi - yes its the same rifle. The stock & mag floor plate are matching & German proofed. The Receiver & barrel are also German commercial BUG proofed. The markings on the receiver side wall are in Farsi and read "Walther training rifle year 1310" There
don't appear to be any Czeq markings on the rifle that I can see.
