Finally received the original matching serial-number stock for my Krieghoff - it has some dried wood issues, but, will remain as it was found.
Slipped on perfectly, the catch is a little dried, or fatigued inside, not quite sure, but, not going to play around with it too much, it slips over the receiver, and sits in place just fine, but will slip off if firmly pushed, which it shouldn't.
Photographed for fun, alongside a Japanese replica Shoei G-type and a new Shoei E-type.
Came directly from Tomio Matsumoto at Shoei - and was beautifully packaged, with dummy ammo and manual.
It was a factory "second" on account of the erroneous "015" serial number. Which doesn't bother me at all.
Look closely at the cocking handle on the original FG42, you can see it is cocked and in semi-auto configuration, as it is about an inch back from the Fg below.
