Finally received the original matching serial-number stock for my Krieghoff - it has some dried wood issues, but, will remain as it was found.

Slipped on perfectly, the catch is a little dried, or fatigued inside, not quite sure, but, not going to play around with it too much, it slips over the receiver, and sits in place just fine, but will slip off if firmly pushed, which it shouldn't.

Photographed for fun, alongside a Japanese replica Shoei G-type and a new Shoei E-type.
Came directly from Tomio Matsumoto at Shoei - and was beautifully packaged, with dummy ammo and manual.
It was a factory "second" on account of the erroneous "015" serial number. Which doesn't bother me at all.

Look closely at the cocking handle on the original FG42, you can see it is cocked and in semi-auto configuration, as it is about an inch back from the Fg below.

Outstanding.
Here's another picture of an original stock. I just happened to be in MA this week and decided to stop by Springfield Armory. And there she was, in a horribly illuminated display case, but good enough to snap a couple mediocre pics with my equally horrible cell phone...

I have handled the original FG42E with serial number 15, it has different markings and back sight than other model E s. It has a big Krieghoff logo and the in ribbed buttstock, I think I sendt you some pics of it Pit ??
That the locking inside the G type buttstock wear s out is normal, I have seen a few of them that is broken or worn out.
