Hey Gang
Just curious if 4x power was the largest that was available on a german sniper rifle during WW2? If not what was the size and who manufactured it?

Thanks

The Zeiss "Zielsechs" was a 6x scope used with various mount systems. Beyond that, 4x was the rule.

Are these some what rare and what does something like that go for?

Is Your Price Inquiry about Complete Sniper Rifles with 6X Zeiss Zielsechs or just the Scope .
Please Specify which You are asking about . Best Regards

I have links to a few Zielsechs in Germany, for between $300 Euro and $700 Euro - depends on condition, and reticle. All are commercial of course, not military accepted.

scopes

What time period would the 6x scopes be from. Earlier or later war? Did they ever use commercial scopes on k98's during the war? Also did they ever mount them on a low or high turret setup?

The VERY few photos I've seen of Zielsechs equipped rifles showed Zeiss marked scopes, not whatever maker code they were using. Not sure if they were repurposed commercial scopes or what, but they did bear the various temp-range markings.

And this is what I did with my 30's era Zielsechs:
