LT '98 up and running!

No photos yet but I've now got my LT'98 up and running. The scope/rings arrived from the Czech Republic Friday and I handed the rifle and scope over to my gunsmith buddy the same day. The front turret and ring went together perfectly but he had to do some minor fitting with the rear. I picked it up from him this early afternoon and now have it sighted in. With handloads carrying "junk" bullets pulled from military surplus ammo it does about 2 1/2 to 3.00 inches at 100 yards. With my handloads using Hornady 195 grain bullets it was doing just under 1 1/2 inches at 100 yards.

I'll get some photos up in the next few days. My gunsmith also cleaned all the old grit and dried oil and cleaned the rust speckles off the scope. It made a pretty nice outfit.

Which seller did this come from in Czechoslovakia?

There are 2 Czech guys selling "aged" reproductions for BIG money, so you have to be mighty careful! Both these "gentlemen" are on eBay.
