Menz DSM-34 Serial 863

This is a recent acquisition and interesting for the presence of one serial number on the entire rifle. Nice bluing and the wood isn't too bad either.

Keith looking at you're track record I figured you'd given up on trainers all together. This one is one of the more scarce makers. I have tracked a half dozen examples. There is quite a range in serial numbers so I feel there may have been two production runs. One early one late. I have seen a four didgit menz with the high extracter feature. The rifle was ruined by bubba but I saved the info. I also had a 3 didgit menz but I sold it off as the condition was poor.. Having just the receiver serial numbered is quite common on some of the smaller makers of the dsm34.. Only Mauser fully serial numbered their rifles and only on the early examples. As you know. Good to see you are still on the hunt.. :thumbsup:

Gorgeous rifle! ALMOST tempting me back away from the sporters, though that is going to be a tough task (fallen madly in lust with the B series Mauser .22's) - I guess though the DSM's are really B series rifles wearing uniform anyway :thumbsup:
