Very nice Bruce, "mm" block is almost a 20k jump for Spandau in 1916, and the RR is right for them (Spandau receivers 1917-1918 are usually assembled by others). Still, even at this enormous range they are second to Danzig, and not all that close really.

If you take it down one day, let me know the BC and whether it is a sub-contract receiver. It shouldn't be with that RR/1st but you never know, and my database isn't all I would like it to be. Imperial acceptance research is still very limited.

BC

Paul no Bayard or S/H rec. and no barrel code. Thats right no code.. barrel is devoid of markings save for a small barrel acceptance prussian eagle.

Bruce, Thanks!

The RR 1st isn't one attributed to what is found on Pieper and S&H receivers but great to confirm all the same. BC is sometimes in front of the rear sight and on occasion found under or partially obscured by the sleeve. This most often the case with the arsenals, Erfurt and Danzig especially, as they were the two sloppiest makers at the time.

Nothing can be done about it if it is missing or obscured but thanks for looking!
