Colt .455 New Service Revolver sent to the British War Dept. in 1917..All accepted Colt New Service revolvers that were accepted for Military Service by the British War Office had a 'E' stamped under the left grip panel.. .455 Eley is the same as .445 Colt... a lot longer than .455 Webley... The brown Plastic Grips denote a Colt rebuild in England during WWII......BILL
