Use of the Vz24 protector

I noticed in Jack's G29o pictures the use of a Vz24 front sight protector. Was this common on the G29o's to the best of anyone's knowledge? I have 2 (one normal type, and one type that seems to have had the sight projection rounded "lumps" removed for some reason) and was considering to add one to my 29o.

Interesting point here. I never thought about the sight protectors much. As these are quite rare I have only owned 4. One other had the same type protector and the other two did not. Just my personal data.
 
Vz.24 sight protectors? I could fill up the back of my pickup with them at $10 a pop. :biggrin1:
 
I'll see if I like the look of one on there when my barrelled acion arrives :)
