Question about German pre WW2 air rifle

Senior Member
I talked to a collector who is willing to sell me his pre German WW2 air rifle.
Being new to training rifles I don't even know if such a thing exists.
He said it has a straight bolt and he has only seen 2 of them in his 40 years of collecting training rifles

Unfortunately this is all the information I have.

Does anyone know of a rifle like that?
What would something like this be worth? The seller is thinking about $700.

Thank you very much,
Steve

maybe

A Haenel mod33 is probably the best made of all the air rifles. Plus parts are still avail and the ammo..I just bought a nice one missing the mag for 350.00 froma a dealer. I have seen alot of these air rifles with hi prices touted as rare.. they are not that rare..

yes, and I think the spring and gasket kit are the same as well. I have this one and two czech air rifles and all take the 4.4mm ball.

I believe the EG Haenel Model 310 6 and 12 round mags will work in the Model 33. Obviously not original but you can still find them for not too much and can put some 4.4 mm lead down range.

Here is the straight bolt on the Haenel Model 33. I'm having trouble uploading pictures and will try again later.

Hanel trainer air rifle

I bought one 4-5 months ago via an auction site. 175$ for a complete Haenel air rifle....may be an exception to the "going rate", but just for reference...they are out there. Chris...
