in the sniper rifle forum ,fuess 3x rifle scope Page 3,was posted a warphoto showing a sniper rifle having a bolt that is bent more sharply and farther away from the blot body than normally seen.there is also in Storz's Gew98 book ,page 248,a warphoto of another sniper rifle with a bolt that has a longer bolt root than normal and bent at a lesser angle than normally seen.both these bolts appear to be a variation of a Danzig fitted bolt with that has a bolt root of about 14mm long compared to the normally seen 11mm.the only bolt like this i have seen had the Danzig round style proof eagle on the bottom of the bolt root.can some of the Gew98 experts on the forum comment on this bolt variation.like what period were they used.was it a subcontractor part.could not find anything in Storz's book about this bolt variation.
