Few pics of some MP44 kit.

Some 8mm Kurz I just picked up. One of the three cardboard packages had a nice maker mark on the inside flap from 1944 and one package of Kurz was still on the stripper clips (hla). Interesting no labels on the packages and no evidence of old glue either.

The top set of pouches are European (Czech) fakes or a post war example which was enhanced with fake markings. The bottom set is an ATF 'red stripe" Type III set and the stand alone pouch is an original late 1940's-early1950's Yugo pouch with star markings etc. This style of pouch is most often faked and I don't know why as they are post-war.

I also have a small assortment of magazines with mixed finish (blue, 'in the white' and phosphate). Many are still covered is cosmoline. Most are MP44 marked, but the odd one is Mkb or MP43 marked. One is MP44 marked and on the flip side marked '1001' and I think might be East German made on original WWII equipment.

Only eight more mags to go and all my pouches will be filled.

The '1001' is an East German factory code for Ernst-Thalmann-Werke. The mags were manufactured with what I imagine was left of the old Haenel tooling.

Nice mags!
