I really enjoy this weapon with the 75 round drums. I do not have a original 34 drum but the MG15 drums will work once the clock springs have had their tension reset. We have had to make a loader otherwise it is very difficult to load very many cartridges into the magazine, even with the modified springs. The cyclic rate climbs about 100 rpm or so compared to feeding with a belt due to less friction to run the system. While fun to shoot, an afternoon of shooting and then RELOADING the drums makes it very clear why this system was withdrawn from service. One of my favorite German guns. JH
