No date dou 24t?

I have heard of early blank receiver 24ts, but what about a dou42 missing the 42??

Seems that would be hard to do if the roll mark included both the code and date? Better photos migh be in order.

The gun is not an auction anymore, so I've added a somewhat better picture of the receiver I got before it sold. Not great I know, but no '42' that I can see. It has been through some sort of post-war rework but I don't think they would remove the date would they?

You are right, it should be a 42 dated rifle, if not it is scrubbed imo.. "h" blocks are 1942, the transition was in the "g" block.
