Matching 1939 WKC w/plum blade!

CanadianAR posted a cool ac42 P.38 with a plum frame over in the pistols thread, so thought I'd show my 1939 dated WKC 84/98 bayonet. The crossguard and pommel show a slight plum color, but the blade shows considerably more.

That is a very nice plum blade example Denny. A keeper! Thanks for sharing.
 
Plum colors are mostly due to weak bluing salts or bluing salts temp below 282 degrees F.

Looks a lot like my example...WKC 39 # 8185 j. Could not make out the sn suffix on your bayonet, but think it is relatively close to mine.
