Thought I share this naval G98 I picked it up a few years back, swapping two m/m G98's for it, so did quite well. It's completely matching except for the armorer stock. It does have an oddly marked rod. The c/f proof is on the bottom of the tulip between the patch slots, the serial # is below it on the rod. Of course I had to outfit it with a decent 1st pattern sling & rod.

That is some rifle, saw it on Gunboards, - I bet you took better pictures? How about sending me the large versions!

Have you seen Bob Jensen's? It is close to this one, 4415 a and close unit marking.. I only have a couple pics of it and they aren't wonderful (BJ is old school and still does the 35mm thing..). I will see if I can get the picture I have up later today.

Here they are, not very good ones but they are what they are.. it is in Jeff Nolls book BTW.
