43/44 bym bayonet

Here's a bym with a 43 dated blade with a 44 dated scabbard. It is interesting in that it still utilized the the earlier serial numbering scheme. My other straight 44 dated bym has the conventional numbering scheme of four numerals & a letter.

Yikes! That is an outstanding piece. Definately one I've never had the opportunity to own.
What's the serial number of your other 44 Ferlach? Mine is 3390c.

A VERY scarce piece. My 43/44 bym in the early serial number series is 98845 / 495.

Even harder to find are 43/44 Ferlach pieces in the conventional four digit with letter block production runs. Mine is serial numbered 470A.

There are also 43 dated bym blades (marked on the spine) that have the 43 overstamped to 44 or with a slash through the digit 3 and a 4 stamped next to it. Lots of strange things going on in Austria at this time. My thoughts only .......

Yes a nice piece, some switch time period, some parts dated 43, scabbards made post beginn 1944 probably. The piece was already reported 2006 BCN by Peter.
The link of facebook looks like a normal middle war production in bad condition.
