'39 Horster bayo, with Luft frog

Probably my best and most interesting... Edge is high gloss, 95%, and the 1938 LBA frog is also L.N.A. 1 marked plus another mark that is tough to read...

It looks like 1936 made in Ingolstadt, the marking could be for Luft nachrichten Abteilung nr.? .

Very nice, Bob... Ya gotta love those pre-war pieces for their quality & finish.
Whoever made your frog - he & his sons lived in Ingolstadt in central Bavaria. Paul Knöfel is the only leather maker I can find based in Ingolstadt, but it doesn't list "und Söhne" in the company name.
I was struck by the coincidence that I also have a '39 E&F Hörster with a Luft frog.

Very nice Denny... love your frog! Andy, you're right on the '36 on my frog (camera is better than the eyes on this one).

Sorry to drag up this old thread but can identify the maker of BiO's frog as Philipp Riebel & Söhne, Sattlerwaren und Sportartikelfabrik of Ingolstadt Bavaria. Maker marking is PH. Riebel > & Söhne > Jingolstadt > 1936.

These are both very nice bayonets with outstanding Luftwaffe marked frogs. Nice finds guys and thanks for showing .....
