This appears to be an early Hi-power hard shell holster.
The large red ink stamp on the inside appears to end in "BELG...".
Ideas.

Maker marked under the strap.

Hello Bruce, The holster is a post war German police holster for the Browning Hi/Po They also made the same holster for the Post war German police issue Star 9mm pistol... BILL
