I'm used to seeing the ridiculous prices that Japanese ammunition brings, but this is something I have never seen before with the German ammo!! Is it really that hard to find this early stuff? http://v2.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=167438444

I reckon someone with a Luger rig of that date needed it Klink. 9mm got gobbled up wartime, postwar, etc., too.

My guess it has more to do with the headstamp than the ammo....It appears to be from Lot # 1 of 1938, with an RWS headstamp....maybe a police contract? Also note the odd reinforcements on the corner of the box....

There has to be an explanation why they went so high....
