Scarce or what?

Danzig/1900 went to the high "e" blocks, so high they probably made it to the "f" block or beyond. Not a low production year for them, really their first strong year as 1899 was less than 20k probably. In 1900 they were second behind Spandau, a good bit behind them in serial ranges and surviving examples, but quite higher than the other makers in 1900 (Erfurt, Mauser & DWM, - Amberg hadn't begun production by 1900).

Quite a few examples are known, not surprisingly most are less than "original" and some are train wrecks. Everything depends on the stock, it is at least half the value and the unit marking can make a great deal of difference. Generally the best unit markings are the earliest rifles, but not always. Spandau & Danzig's tend to have the best unit markings on early rifles, DWM of course manufactured the naval contract but some early Erfurt's found their way to the navy also.

Bottom line is the stocks condition, unit marking and how "manufacturer original" it is, most are not in original condition, most seeing some work during the war.

How scarce, or not, are 1900 Danzig G98's in decent but not superb condition?
