Hallo gentlemen

This special K 43 QVE 45 has some unusual things - perhaps because it is one of the last ones that were made? Was it a bad buy ?What does the expert says?
- No butt plate! But it is ready for it?
- Bad made stock!?
- No block number on the rifle!?
- New highest serial number? 9962
- Matching scope mount! Is it ok?

Comments welcome.

looks like a legit matching rig... too bad someone has to poorly sporterize the stock.:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

Notice the correct scope and mount rig.. E/214 mount with Dow scope in the correct serial # range.

Thank you for posting.

QVE made rifles well into the "f" block in 1945. This one is still in the no letter block...a fair amount earlier. The stock has obviously been altered post war at some time to a point where it is probably not worth restoring. Not sure a original butt plate can be put back on this one, without looking really odd....the stock has been very heavily sanded. Typical for so many of these rifles.

Is there a chance we can get some better pictures of the mount reverse also?
