This bayonet came with a rifle I bought this past weekend...I thought it was matching but it had a frog on it and only could see the serial and I put it away til I got home...Once I could get a good look at I was pleasantly surprised to see it a 43 clc bayo mated to a renumbered 38 Horster scabbard to match...I posted it on GB to make sure it wasn't a post war yugo or the like....Well here it is...Any comments appreciated...Thanks Mike

Most of the alleged depot reworks that I have seen have a very small two digit number stamped on the pommel, scabbard, and on the inside of the flashguard. I have not seen one like this, but the renumbering certainly looks period.

Textbook armorer's rework. Very nice piece. I actually collect these. A bit unusual to find with a 1943 dated bayonet or scabbard (usually earlier pieces).
