duv44 vet bringback

Picked this one up at a small local show when I was visiting home around Christmas. Managed to take a few crappy pictures and here they are! The vet scratched his SSN on the triggerguard. Unfortunately he passed away in 2009 (didn't know him, but did some research). Family must have found the rifle and gave it to the dealer on consignment. Was happy to give it a new home.

nice duv

Nice gun with bonus phosphate mag.. Take some pics of the side proofs also. Love the deep duv bluing. For some reason I seem to find more phosphate mags in duv guns. You could never prove anything but that is what I have observed.

Very nice pickup, the K43 marked duv marked variants are very hard to find. Weaver's book lists it as one of the rarer ones. I think I've got the twin to your rifle stashed away in my safe. Never taken any photos of it but it has the same configuration with the Durafol handguard. This is the only other one I have ever seen, cool!

Just checked it, mine is 6777i

yes, quite odd. they show up in one or two blocks and then go back to G43 till the change to qve. I know of two locally in collections.

very nice rifle by the way. consider youreself very lucky.. its a scarce variant.. right up there with dual codes. and g/k marked rifles.
