Local pickup and I didnt have one. There has been some discussion of these 'fsu' coded rigs in an older post.

Maker is 'fsu = Brandenburger Fahrrad- u. Motorrad-Werke "Excelsior" GmbH'.

Matching serials on the clamp and tube.

Anyone have a spare bubble sight?

Launcher, sight, tool, and leather bag are all original, of course.

I have to settle for a repro canvas grenade bag aged to look a little better, stripper of crimped regular blanks and a resin AT grenade which I painted and detailed to look a little more real.

I have one original AP grenade, but a friend is machining a dummy warhead for it at the moment. It all displays pretty well as as it is until I can find the real stuff.

Another variation of G.Gr.Ger. pouch:

Coded 'gyb 1943 G Gr Ger WaA668' note the rivets used for the flap strap holder, larger buckle, and thicker/coarser strap material. There is a WaA inkstamp inside the pouch itself but cannot get a decent picture of it.

Have not seen this variation before.

1943/44 Example

About as nice as you can get.

One piece is named to an R.O. Manning M.D. Dunn N.C.

Curious as I know the "R" stands for Richard (long story in my next post).

I don't know if the M.D. Stands for Medical Doctor or something else?

This was an online purchase through a Canadian Forum from Central Canada.

44/45 Example

This is a later second set - interesting to see how the finishing is much rougher and diminished.

As another point, two parts are named to the same gentleman who was named on my other set. Richard O. Manning M.D. Dunn, N.C.

I assume that at some point in time 1x collector owned both sets and for some reason mixed the sets up....

I purchased this set first hand at a Gun Show, so long story short the sets were together likely in one collection, got mixed up, went separate ways, only to be re-united in a single collection again.

This has the later bread bag sling.

Ahh...the Circle of Milsups.
