I bought the left side clg 43 green pouch (with loader pocket) several years ago for $75. I've been looking for a right side green clg 43 pouch since then in the same shape to make a pair. Finally found one with three original mags, two slabside. So, have another matched set. Normally these clg pouches are found in the tan rough cloth in 43 and 44 dates. Many of these were found in the 70s in storage, unissued. I have heard stories of a gunshow dealer in the 70s who had a refrigerator box cut in half filled with these for sale cheap.

Great set Ham, usually the leather on these green ones is crap and falls apart. Yours are very nice.

Thanks Gerard. The leather on both of these is quite pliable and in nice shape. I passed on several pouches because the leather had been replaced, repaired, or was ragged out. You're right, most of these have messed up leather, cracked, dried out, etc. The leather is thin. MP.40 pouches in general seem to have a low survival rate. I can see how given the material used and as they would have likely been used by first line units.

Tks Gerg. It is WaAB66 , inspection group for clg which was Ernst Melzig, Lederwaren, Breslauer Str. 169-173, Liegnitz, Polen (clg). They were a leather worker. I have a nice clg frog and holsters from this maker.
