Great find!!

That pistol looks really nice.

Is the code on the holster

" i s x" or an l or a 1 ?

Very nice find. Since your Spreewerk didn't come with numbered mags you might want to post them on the p-38 forum to a possible matchup with the original pistol. Just a thought.

Dienstglas

I like the DienstglasI also. Very similar to the ones I picked up a few weeks ago with Bakelite case. Same proofs as mine waA 202? It looks like the belt straps are missing on the case?

Yes, John. The belt straps are missing and the Dienstglas is WaA202. Also, the focus in the right lens no longer functions.

That is true, very early cyq's small parts were e/359'ed. The mags though weren't and they weren't numbered. The only P.38's that had numbered mags (in WWII) were Walther, from the beginning to ac42 c block.

Absolutely true! This isn't the first non-Walther I've owned that had numbered WaA359 magazines and probably won't be the last.
If anyone has an orphaned numbered mag, register it with the mag matching service on the P.38 forum.
