Hello Gents,a recent pick up,and not knowing much on these. Its a mismatched rifle and demil.The bolt does not belong in it. As far as i know its not a Turk,stock not sanded,and a bit of pitting. Its made in 1917 and serial number 39G.But what means the four digit number on top ? Hope you guys can help me out.

By "serial number on top" I presume you're referring to the "3627". But the photo is so close that I can't figure out exactly where this number is stamped. More information please.

Indeed number 3627,its on the piece where you put the stripperclip in to load.Have you seen this before?

When the number is on top of the bridge, it is a good indicator of Turkish use. Look for an import marking on the barrel, near the muzzle, around the receiver and barrel, maybe under the stock. Odds are it is Turkish used.

No other markings then the one shown.Not even on the wood,exept serialnumber inside.
