Bayonet/Frog Storage

So, how do you guys store you bayonets/scabbards and frogs? Together, apart? Do you leave the bayonet in the scabbard?

I've never seriously collected daggers/bayos/whatever before, and I like to have an idea on collector 'best practices' before I get into something new, lest I accidentally ruin something which I've been known to do...

Ryan,
I leave the frogs on them, certainly if they have the original frogs on them. One thing you can do is put some Pecards on a q-tip and wipe the inside of the scabbard metal where it contacts the inside of the frog, maybe even a very light wipe of Ballistol on a q-tip before that. If stored in a decently dehumidified environment (like a properly HVAC'd house), the condition will be the same long after all of us are dead and gone.
Regards,
HB

If the frog is tight I leave it on, but most I have the frogs are really loose so I remove them. I should just sell all of the frogs, they are piling up.
