Hi all!

I picked up this bayonet (with matching scabbard but no frog) in nice shape. Is this appropriate to display with my "bcd 4" rifle? It seems to be in nice shape but I know less than nothing about bayonets, and so I thought this seemed the best place to ask! 1944 bayonets seem to bring a premium in price everywhere, so like the rifles I would suppose that means they are more uncommon. And thank you to all the folks who have posted such good pictures here, you may now be responsible for addicting another collector.

David

Looks like nice early 1944 Paul Weyersberg production, the blade should be blued, was probably cleaned from rust, so the blueing is probably gone already. The scabbard should be matched too with same number.

Thank you AndyB! Other than the lack of bluing its pretty nice and with a matching scabbard I thought it would display nicely with the rifle I'm learning about in the forum here!
