Here is a rifle that I have had in my collection for probably about 5 years. I just got around to finishing up the proper photographs of it today. I am snowed in and the weather sucks. This was one of the first 5 K98k’s that I bought when I got into this. BIO had this and posted some photos of it here about 10 years ago. High lights of this rifle are that it is a very common rifle year/maker in very uncommon condition and form. You don’t come across many phosphate byf44’s. It has a really cool sintered front band that you don’t seem to see much of either. It’s also neat that it’s an Oberndorf in a C maker subcontracted stock. It also has a neat leftover Sauer trigger used up in this very late1944/possibly very early 1945 built rifle. I will let the photos do the rest of the talking……

You're not the only one snowed in today though I don't rifles as nice as yours to photograph. That's a sweet rifle, love the phosphate finish on this one and the stock is super crisp!

That is a very handsome rifle. Not much else to say that hasn’t already been said. A nice variation for that year. Thanks for posting.

Wow! Exceptional piece with some outstanding features. Love how crisp the stock is, between the cutouts and stamps. Chatter is nice too. Solder slop and FN supplied sear are also cool. A great example Jory.
