What would you guys say that a rifle like this is worth? Obviously there’s been a lot of handling, and now it’s in new furniture, but I’m curious. Also thinking of getting a bayonet, do I need to look out for anything in particular?

What does “a block” mean? Is the number 1642 the number is was made in production of that year at that factory?

That would make sense, so after the stock was brought back, it was modified and it looks to have been cracked due to the modifications and screwed back together.
