Looking for zf4 rail to attach to my HMG STG

I have a Hill&Mac STG being built and I want to mount a scope on it. There are examples of STG44’s with ZF4 mounts attached. I have a repro scope and mount but I cannot locate a matching base. HMG is willing to weld the base on for me. Does anyone know where I can get the correct base for this...

    Should I keep this "LSR"

Yes I knew it was peened and I had a suspicion it was modified post war but I could not tell until I bought it. That is why auctions are not the best way to buy stuff. I made the auction house write me a letter stating it was authentic and no repro parts. I think the sum of the parts is worth...

    Should I keep this "LSR"

scope and mount If you think it is a repro, please tell me why because I am trying to learn what to look for in the future. Thanks, Jon

    Should I keep this "LSR"

bolt pictures Can anyone tell me if this is the correct bolt for this era gun? None of the serial numbers match the receiver. The underside of the bolt lever has a strange WaA stamp. The best I can tell is S8. Jon

    Should I keep this "LSR"

Here are picture from 2002 Pics I got from Vaughn back in 2002. I really appreciate all the feedback he has given me the last few days and it is absolutely amazing that he had pictures of this exact gun. You can see the stock was modified to accept the LSR base and this confirms that the...

    Should I keep this "LSR"

I bought a Sauer LSR from an auction site a month ago. From what I know, LSR snipers are unique in that they require a thick walled receiver with a milled flat side for the base. I bought this gun because it was suppose to be the correct receiver. The gun had 3 holes drilled into it wit the...

Script ce 43 w/ LSR receiver flat

I will post some pictures and my theories. The receiver mount looks original because it is made for a flat walled receiver. All the repro ones are for a curved wall receiver. It also has the push button lock at the end for the cover. That added detail makes me think it is real. The scope...

Script ce 43 w/ LSR receiver flat

Mike, I am not so concerned about making a mistake. I know it was not an authentic sniper based on the number holes. What I am trying to figure out is if I should keep it. I wanted an LSR and I can make a fake one by starting off with a core gun in better shape and buy all the aftermarket...

Script ce 43 w/ LSR receiver flat

I agree about the burr. I wonder if it is one of the unfinished guns and someone drilled and tapped the 3 screw holes. I have seen numerous references to ce 43 f block guns that were unfinished. Jon

Script ce 43 w/ LSR receiver flat

Has anyone seen a ce with the flat receiver/scope mount holes/and slotted stock? I bought this gun with the scope and mount on it but no pins. I am told it is fake but I see a picture of this type of 3 hole receiver on page 255 of Peter Senich's book. The patina is all consistent. Please...

Mauser 98K Sniper up for auction

RADOMMAN, I got an email from the auction house stating that a gun is all original. That statement is in response to a direct question about a gun's authenticity. I assume this is grounds for a refund if the gun is not correct? I understand the auction house protecting themselves but I have...

Mauser 98K Sniper up for auction

Auction guarantee What happens if you ask the auction site if the gun is all original and correct and they say yes? Is that grounds to return the rifle or file a stop payment through your credit card company as false advertising? They can't have it both ways, print false information and...
