If I was profiling only the launcher I would post to accessories, but I will show much more and I think here is the best spot.
I bought this bcd4 q block on here 10 years ago in a month or so. It’s fully numbered still except TG and sight parts. The beginning of simplification. I bought it originally to have a blued and phosphate bcd4. I knew about the markings on the rifle which indicated grenade launcher use but could never find the right one to buy. So in the mean time I bought a beautiful 44 dated rifle grenade crate, with nice tan hardware, labels, etc. Then a 44 dated grenade in cardboard tube came available, both nicely marked and not easily found here. I’d been looking on and off since 2014 for the GGG. Sometimes see them on waf, but can’t leave the EU. Saw a nice one at SOS the year I flew down. Chased one in Canada but he wouldn’t sell. Finally the stats aligned and I picked up this complete set at SOS. Very happy with it.
So here I will display each article, and some of its details. As well as the witness marks from usage on the rifle. To have these markings it must have served for extended periods with the GGG installed. I would imagine if you set out to find a rifle used for GGG it would be a tough one to find.
First off the the crate, maker marked tth44, and waffenamt marked. Beautiful dunkelgelb hardware. Label inside for 30 rifle grenades.
Next a grenade in marked and dated shipping tube, Inside is an original paint grenade, marked with designation, maker mark, date, waffenamt.
Finally the launcher kit. Cup is marked lzf with waffenamt, the barrel attachment is marked hhz or nnz, with waffenamt, matching numbers on the three clamp pieces. The wrench is marked clc. The sight has its level intact, and white paint in the graduations. Marked euh with waffenamt and some type of serial number. The pouch is dkk42 marked which should sound familiar due to skm marked 98k slings.
You can see the markings on the stock from the rear sight. Some staining of some type on the side, and cuts from the band on the bottom, The muzzle shows a ring from where it’s inserted into the launcher, and you can see the wear marks from the clamp on the barrel.
Happy to have reunited a launcher with a true launching rifle. I can just imagine some big grenadier launching grenades in the battle of the bulge.
