What is this G98 Stock?

This is a WW1 German Gewehr 98 Mauser Stock in very nice condition. The stock on the inside has a stamp in the middle and inside of the stock there is a metal insert stamped German Letter and next to it a "G" and the numbers "4324." The Mauser factory cartouche is also faint. Weight: 2lbs 7...

Can any identify this stock? if i end up picking up the Sporterized G98 This would be a pretty good donor stock if it fits.
 
With the Mauser Banner I'm thinking a south American contract rifle -- maybe an M1909? If so, it would likely be in 7mm or 7.65mm. They were large ring actions but not sure if the length is the same as a G98.

Agree with the first post that it may fit a G98. But it would be best to get some dimensions to compare to your action. Distance between centers of the action screw hole on the stock should tell if it will fit.

Just checked a reference: Bolt Action Rifles by Frank de Haas. He lists the guard screw spacing on a standard military 98 action as 7.825"
