Hi y'all,
As a new member of this forum, I wanted to introduce myself as I am definitely going to spend a few hours here
I am Oliver, 33, born and raised in Belgium, but I also worked/studied abroad in the past few years (Canada and Spain).
My wife and I are currently spending our time between Belgium and Mexico, although our main residence is still based in Belgium (for now ).
My interests are: history in general, baseball, cars (especially from the 70-80-90's), learning new languages.
I don't pretend being an expert on those topics, but I enjoy a great chat with people sharing the same passion.
My grandfather and great-grandfather have been in the Belgian Military, but I am myself completely new to the world of firearms (and eager to learn).
I live nearby a shooting range where close friend of mine is an active member (there aren't many shooting ranges in Belgium and the regulations regarding firearms/shooting range access are quite restricted, reason why I didn't take the first step earlier).
The instructor and my friend made me shoot a bolt-action rifle at the end of the initiation (It was a WW2 era Lee-Enfield If I recall correctly).
I guessed that triggered my interest enough to dug deeper into bolt action rifles. That + my father in law having a Mauser rifle brought me here.
Looking forward to getting to know this community a bit more,
Kind regards,
Oliver.
