We'd need to see some pictures to verify if anything else has been messed with. Also, what is the letter suffix after the serial, if there is one present?

What's an ithica 1911 go for these days? What kind of Ithica? What sort of condition?

There are a lot of unknowns here.

Post the serial number if you would like. I maintain a serial number data base and I might have history on the rifle. If I don’t it will just be an addition to the data base.

Too many unknowns to compare values, but a really top notch late war K43 would generally be worth more than even a very nice Ithaca.

As others have said you need to post detailed pics of each and pertinent information to expect any meaningful conversation.

I will say in a general sense original Ithaca 1911a1’s are certainly uncommon pieces (as compared to say a Rem Rand or Colt). The value can be pretty drastic from an early DuLite piece to a 1945 piece all things equal.

Also no matter how nice the metal or stock are.. a mismatched rifle.. is still a mismatched rifle and really valued as a “shooter” and not a collectors piece.
