Saw this on fb group and this one cracks me up... whoever tried to fake it clearly lacks any knowledge, or is simply unwilling to do some basic research, I guess...

You would think if someone was willing to commit a felony by removing and restamping serial numbers, they at least would do their homework and do a convincing job.... This should be a one of those "stupid criminals" episodes
 
New guys ask all the time "is this K98 legit" or "how can I tell if this is faked". Here's a pretty good (and simple) one to study. You could make a list of what's 'bad' or at least suspect just from the few pics.
 
There’s a big market these days for one thing trying to be something it’s not. That should do pretty well. IMG_4930.jpeg
